Encrypted Query String Does Not Mean “Skip Validation”
A CloudPage trusts decrypted/request parameters directly for updates, preference changes or record access.

Evidence tier describes my hands-on relationship with the content. Official sources describe platform contracts/documentation. Production observations should not automatically be treated as official limits.
CloudPagesURL protects parameter values in an AES-GCM encrypted query string, but the landing page still needs to validate required values, record state and business authorization before changing data.
What to check
- Are required parameters present and structurally valid?
- Does the referenced record exist and belong to the expected workflow?
- Can repeated requests duplicate side effects?
Make it cheaper next time
- Use CloudPagesURL for private context from email.
- Treat RequestParameter values as inputs to validate before writes.
