Inspect WSProxy updateBatch() Results

Treat a batch call result as data to validate rather than assuming “no exception” means every row succeeded.

Evidence tier describes my hands-on relationship with the content. Official sources describe platform contracts/documentation. Production observations should not automatically be treated as official limits.

Use when

Batch-updating SOAP objects or DataExtensionObject records.

<script runat="server">
Platform.Load("Core","1.1.1");
var prox = new Script.Util.WSProxy();

var rows = [
  { CustomerKey: "Log_DE", Properties: [
    {Name:"LogID",Value:Platform.Function.GUID()},
    {Name:"Status",Value:"Processed"}
  ]}
];
var options = { SaveOptions:[{PropertyName:"*",SaveAction:"UpdateAdd"}] };
var res = prox.updateBatch("DataExtensionObject", rows, options);

if (!res || res.Status !== "OK") {
  Write(Stringify(res));
}
</script>
Why it works

WSProxy updateBatch returns SOAP UpdateResult-derived results that can be logged and inspected per operation.

Operational notes

For production tooling, persist failed result details with enough context to retry intentionally.
